CONVICTS TERRIBLE DEED, By allograph—Press Assoolatlon-Copyrfeht Los Angeles, August 1. John Valshik, a prisoner, killed C. H. Mullen, one of his fellow-prisoners, and fatally wounded two others, Lewis W. Noell and Martin Mendez. Valshik wa3 acting as waiter, and concealed a knife, with which he stabbed Mullen in the head, and gave Noell a cut on the back of the arm which nearly severed Tt. Mendez wa3 stabbed near tho heart and on the face.
