A seal —a particularly fine specimen— was observed sporting about in tlis waters of Port Nicholson Jlarljour yesterday morning. The animal attracted a good deal of attention and swam round among the wharves in great style. The creature was_ about nine feet in length, and after having had a good look at Wellington's harbour departed as silently as it came. A'o doubt Hie exceptionally cold weather in the south sent the stranger up to these waters in search of something better. He did not get it. An old ago pensioner named Patrick Leahy has died at Perth at the ago of ninety-three. He. was a prominent participator in the Eureka Stockade fight.
