Tho following resolution with 'regard to Harbour Board representation was carried by tho Waterside Workers' Federation conference yesterday :—"That tho Government bo asked to appoint a representative of tho waterside workers in each centre in the Dominion on tho various harbour boards', when appointing tho Government representatives." It was pointed out that when tho Government appointed nominees to harbour boards it often did so regardless of whether such nominees knew tho bow of a. ship from the stern, and it wns considered that in tho interests of the waterside workers, and for fhrir protection, to bo advisable that (hey should bs represented as well a-s otliera connected with shipping.
