MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) BURGLARY CHARGE. At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, Henry Leonard Press was charged with! having broken into the premises -of the Vacuum Oil Company, and stolen. .£ls 15s.' 4d. in cash, cheques to tho value of' .£l2 15s. lid., and a draft for £i 13s. Sd. Mr. E. F. O'Leary appeared for the defendant, who was remanded till Wedue»>' day. Bail (.£80) was allowed. \ SEPARATION DEFUSED. Mr. Riddell delivered judgment in ths caso in which Mary Marshment applied for separation from her husband (Alfred James Marshmont), and for maintenance and guardianship orders against him. The application was dismissed. OTHER CASES. For insobriety, John Hyde was finea £2, and Samuel Cameron was fined 10s. Edith Robertson was convicted of tho theft of .81 10s. from the landlady of tho house at which sho boarded. S)ie was ordered" to- appear ■ for sentence when called on.
