BROOKLYN CLUB. On Saturday the, Brooklyn Harriers were the guests of Mr. 1". Harvey, of Hanson Street. Despite the unfavourable weather, a muster of twenty-two runners followed a trial led by P. A. Wilton and C. Byrne, which led to Box Hill, Brooklyn, up Washington Avenue, in a. southerly direction as far as the Morninglon Estate, thence down Hutchison Road to the starting point. The usual run-in was held over about 300 yards, resulting in S'Murray, T. Jenkins, and C. Murray, finishing, in that order. After tea, to which about thirty sat down, Miss Harvey and Mr. I!. Harvey kept tho company entertained until abdut 8 p.m., when the enjoyable outing came to a close, with three hearty cheers ' for the host and hostess and family. Tho J1.01.1. Harriers will bo the guests of tho Brooklyn Harriers next Saturday at the Kelburnc Tea Kiosk. BOXING. (By Telegraph— Special Correspondent.) Hastings, July 28. The annual boxing championships of the Hawke's Bay Boxing Association are to bo decided in the Princess Theatre, Hastings, on Wednesday night. There are numerous and representative entries. PETONE ROWING CLUB. The balance-sheet and annual report to be presented at the I'otone Rowing Club's annual meeting shows tho club to bo in a very healthy state. The year commenced with a credit balance of .09 15s. lid., with outstanding liabilities of .£215 2s. 5d., and assets valued at J:.i67 15s. lid. The balance-sheet show's a credit balance of .£3 17?. 3d,., with liabilities amounting to .£15() 155., and assets valued at ,£SGI 17s. 3d., leaving a balance of assets over liabilities at JMOS 2s. 3d. During the season 21 aetive members were elected and six resigned, bringing tho' total to 43 active members,' four honorary and five country and four life members. The warmest thanks of the club are accorded to tiho following, who donated trophies, etc., during tho season:—Messrs. R. Mobiles, A. G. Saunders, J. Edmonds, J. Parranf, Lowin, and Tremain, B. Barnes, H. J. Palmer, J. Fletcher, and H. Dwyar.
