Raphael, secretary to tho Cricket Council, states that ho wrote to the Australian Board of Control cm the subject in December last, and received a reply regretting that tlio board would be unable to accede to the request. Later. Mr. Raphael, secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, seems to have overlooked (ho fact that when ho wrote in December last the Australian team was returning via, Perth or Albany, now tiro team is coming via America, hence the conditions are changed. '
