In connection with tlio recent decision of the Ifakara County Council to take definite steps to,improve'the. condition'of the Npahauranga Gorgel'ltou'd, the" City Council lust evening decided to contribute the sum of i 250 towards tho cost, of .diverting tho Ngnhaurongn, Stream above nnd below the municipal abbatoir,' pro.. Tided that tho works were carried out in a satisfactory mnnnor, with grillages to prevent stones, etc., causing erosion in tho tunnels, nnd that the corporation will' not bo involved in any subsequent mninlonnnco charges in connection with the works.
