HUTT POULTRY SHOW.
The Hutt Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Society's second annual show was opened yesterday afternoon at the Drill Hall, lower Hutt, by Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P. The number of entries received exceeded those of last year, and the judges coneider that the standard of exhibit was as high as any ever held in tho district. Tho judges wero:-Poultry, Mr. A. Palmer (Timaru); pigeons, Mr. M. F. Bulhck (Hastings); canaries, Mr. D. Murphy (Wellington); utility poultry classes, Mr. R. W. Hawke The following were the principal prizewinners:— , __~' Poultry-Old English -Game :R. A. Williams (seven firsts). Game (modern): R. M'WMrter (four firsts). Modern Gatno Bantams: A. M'Millan (five firsts). Bantams (not Game): C. Brattle (three firsts). Plymouth Rocks, A. Perano (two firsts). Wvamlotfos: Mrs. S. Johnson (North Island clumpionship for best golden 'Cock): A. Hicklin (two firsts); J. D. hemonger (championship for Silver Hen); John Carrie (two firsts). Orpingtons: W. T. Hicks and J. Gordon (four firsts each). Minorcas: Jnines ftoed (one firsts Lephorns E.
