SIX GIRLS PERISH ON A ROOF. By TeleEraph—Press Association—CopyriEhl (Rec. July 21, 11.45 p.m.) London, July 21. At a fire at Messrs. Angus and' Thomas's Christmas cartl factory, in Moor Lane, Cripplcgato, fifteen girls in a back room were cut off by the flames. A dozen of the girls clambered on to the roof, with their clothing on fire, and six were burned to death in the sight of spectators, on adjoining buildings. Several of tho girls cscaped on planks thrown from the parapet of adjaccnt premises, and the remainder jumped to tho ground, 70ft. below) two of them being killed.
