STEAK EN CASSEROLE. 21b. steak, 1 tablespoonful flour, 2 teaspoonfuls sugar, 1 teaspoont'ul salt, i teaspoonful pepper, 1 teaspoonful vinegar, 1 cup stock or water. Rub the flour, sugar, salt, and pepper well into the steak with a knife; drop over it the vinegar, pour on the stock, and let it stand lhr. Bake for 2hr. in a moderate oven, closely covered. FOR TO-MORROW. i Pint Lentils. Fish. Curry Powder. Macaroni. Cheese. Marmalade.
