SAVINGS-BANK INTEREST.
RATES ADVANCED IN NEW SOUTH WALES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, July 23. The Stato Savings Bank is raising the rato of interest from August 1 to 31 .per cent on deposits up to '.£3OO. On deposits in excess of that amount, up to <£'500, 3 per cent will be poid. Interest at the rato of 31- per cent will be paid on the deposits of friendly societies and other similar institutions up to ■£500.
