At 2 a.m. tho following buildings had been destroyed:— Hall's tobacconist shop. Simmond's cycle shop. Goldsberg's, jewellore. Park's, bookseller. Moore, solicitor. Mrs. Nye, stationer. Wanklyn, fruiterer. Walls, baker. Stylos, drapery store. There is no fire brigade at Ifoxton, end no water supply, and, as on tho occasion of tho previous fire, there was little or no cheek on tho spread of tho conflagration, though efforts were made by willing vol linkers lo tear down fences, dividing walls, mid other combustible structures which wero likely to assist the progress' of tho fire. At timo of goingto press a considcrnblo portion of the town (including the Prrobytcrian Church) was in jeopardy. PREVIOUS FIRE LOSS.
