A THREATENED STRIKE. By Teleera-ph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, July 22. Wharf labourers allege that a "ring" is sanding tho primest meat to London, where it is sold for less than inferior meat fetches here. They threaten, unless the price of meat is reduced to a reasonable price, to strike against handling any frozen shipments. The .feeling in shipping circles is that tho real cause of tho unrest is a desire for a further increase in wages. ACTION DISCLAIMED BY OFFICIALS. (Reo. July 22, 10.20 p.m.) Sydney, July 22. The Wharf Labourers' Union officials have given tho cold shoulder to the suggested strike, of protest against the dearjiess of meat.
