MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before Mr. W. G. Biddoll, S.M.) At tho Magistrate's Court on Saturday, Thomas Patrick Prittkard was charged with assaulting and causing actual bodily harm to Neil M'Dougall on July 16. On that date ho had been discharged from the s.s. Morayshire, at tho instance of M'Dougall, who was a quartermaster. Later M'Dougall was removed to the hospital, suffering from a dislocated kneecap. The chief officer had heard that this was Pritchards doing, although ho had not scon the occurrence. As M'Dougall was still in the hospital, and unable to giva evidence, accused was ' remanded' until July 24. Thomas O'Sullivan was ordered to pay £1 Is., medical expenses in connection with a charge of insobriety. On a charge of assaulting Patrick Duffy, ho was remanded till to-day. Albert Stockbriugo, who was arrested by Detectives Lewis and Andrews on Friday, on a charge of breaking into the premises of P. Cooper, Ltd., on Thursday last, was remanded till to-day. John Smith was fined 20s. for insobriety.' Fivo first offenders, similarly charged, were also dealt with.
