Tha report showed tho .society to bo' in a flourishing condition, ■and the membership has considerably in- ' creased; There was a profit of .£155 on the year's operations, and a total credit balance on the profit .and loss of J6569. Prospects for the ensuing year are favourable. Mr. L. C. Bathbone was elected president. , Considerable discussion ensued on tho . proposal to have a' two-day show this year, and eventually it was decided that a twoday show be held only in the event of sufficient debentures being subscribed by September 30 next, to enable a grandstand'to be built on tho new showground in time for the. occasion."
