JERSEY RECORDS AT ISLAND SHOW.

- -SOME; INTERESTING FIGURES. There were fifty-five Jerseys receiving awards in the public (est of milk and butter production at the recent show of the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural. Society. Their average yield of milk'-iu the twenty-four hours was 30 pounds 6.1 ounces. The highest yield was 19 pounds, 6 ounces, made by 11. Pleven's seven-year-old Matchless; and the lowest 1 was 18 pounds 1-1 ounces, made by the three-year-old Champion's Syren, owned by J; Le Buez. The lowest yield of a cow five years old or over was 25 pounds, made by E. E. Leonard's six-year-old Friday. The highest yield by a cow under five years .was 44 pounds, made, by C. Mourant's Majesty's Princess, not quite five years. old. There were seven cows which yielded 40 pounds of milk or over. . The average butter yield of the fifty-five cows was-1 pound 12.4 ounces. Matchless .also, led butter production, lier yield for the twenty-four hours being 2 pounds 12J ounces. .The lowest yield of any cow five years or over was 1 pound 71- ounces.. Tho highest yield among tho young cows was 2 pounds 4i ounces, made by F. P. Du:tot's Cunning llonse. Lass, three years and seven and one-half months old. None of .Hie.young cows yielded less than 1 pound ■ 2:V; ounces. Altogether there were fourteen cows withyields of 2 pounds or more of ■bulter for-tlio day.
