PEIJIB MINISTER GOES TO WOODYILLE. Tho Hon. AT. P. Massey (Prime Minister) is to leavo to-day, by Main Trunk express, for Wcodville, where ho will attend a social gathering nt which Mr. J. H. Escott, member for Pahintua, is to bo entertained this evening by his confctitiionts. Cabinet will not moot again until after the- I'rinio Minister's return on 'Tuesday. The Prime Minister stated last evening that tho appointment would be made as soon as possible. "Wo arc not keeping it back for any political purpose," ho added. "Wo recognise tho importance of tho appointment, and do not intend to deal with it hastily, but I will be in a position to make a statement about it in the very near future." Either on Monday or Tuesday, Mr. Massey is to receive a deputation of flaxmiUors at Palmerston, which is to mnko representations in regard to alfcwins refuse from t.ho mills to lx> drained into tho river.
