PHILATELIC SOCIETY.
Thoro wore soventeen members present at the eighth monthly meeting of the Wellington Junior Philatelic Society, held at St. Paul's Vicarage last evening. Mr. Wm. Ferguson presided, and there were present Lieut. Lancaster, K.N..- Dr. Duncan, nnil Jlr. Joliffe. The following now. members were elected:—Messrs. Jenkins (2), Lattey, HiMrcth, Feist, Williams, \V. M'Garthy, Hopkirlc, Asia, nnd. Jl'iss Schwartz. A letter was received from a Sydney denier asking to bn admitted to membership. The letter was discussed, after which it was resolved that slampdealers were not eligible for membeT'.lup of the socioty. The secretary reported that there were eight books of stamps, valued at .£l2O, at present on circuit. llr. K. F. Joyce Rave notice, that he would move nt tho annual general meeting that tho annual subscription for members over 21 years of nee shall be 2s. 6d., instead of Is. Jlr. W. Ferguson was thanked for predentin? onoHirr catalogue of stamps for the library. Tho display of the evening was the stamps of the West India?, which were well represented by tho collect ions of Jlr. Ferguson, Lieut. Lancaster, H.N., nnd others. Mr. Joyce read a paper on tho mixed perforations of tho stamps of Now Zealand, and Mr. Joliffo promised one on tlie stamps of the TrajwiwU.
