A brother of Captain Amumifen, of Antaretic fame, is an inventor of some note in his own country. Messrs. Baldwin and Raywarel, who act for him in Australasia, have recently filed two applications for undent? relating to apparatus I'or condensing milk and" nicat extracts. It is thought that the invention will shortly come into ii>e in .Australia. The idea of making Uiesc concentrateil extracts was no doubt suggested to the mind nf fho inventor by -flic experience of his brother in Polar regions. ,
