The Onslcnv Borough Council mpt last liigh-t. Thorp were present: The Mayor (Mr. I- , . Holdsworth). Councillors B. li.vnnobr.rs. .T. G. Gardner. Frederick Bates, E. P. Stafford. G. W. Darvall, C. Alpin, jnn.. and B. W.-Dingn-all It was decided that the total liability of the general account—,£B43 45.-on Mnrch 31. 1012 —should be brought forward to next year's allocations. Tile council decided that a footpath is to bt> constructed from Abbott Bo.ad to tlie Xgain store. The footpath to lend to the Ngaio State School, which the Education Board proposes to erect, will be consented to providing the footway i? "fenced to the satisfaction of the council. Application for new light? on the Simla Estate was deferred for the present. .regarding a complaint of flooding near Subway Crofton. West/ the council approved a recommendation to put in certain pipe.=. A letter from the Railway Department was read, which stated that the council's request that the New Plyniouth mail train outward from Wellington should- be stopped at Ngraio, as well as at Khandnllali' could not bo acceded to.
