Ifld., 2; 171, Reid nnd Son, £1 3s. 2d., 3; 472, Reid and Son, £i Os 3d., i; ■171, Higlulen Estate, £\ lGs. lid., 5. At tho show pen 172 (Reid and Son) was placed first. 173 (Reid and Sou) second, and 470 (Highden Estate) third. On the report Ilighden Estate was. first, and K-pid and Son second and third. Remarks: 470—good quality, well covered, rather wasteful, too largo for general demand. .473—Fair quality, fairly meaty, too large. 47.1—Fair quality, well finished, but too large and fat. Class 101. a fat lambs.—Pen 59.3, S. Gray, J!3 17s. !)d., l.j A. Campbell. £4 13s. Id., 2; 5(11, .1. Knight, £3 12s. od.. 3. At the show, pen 501 was placed third, and the other (wo wero. unplaced. On the report, tho first three were' in the same respective place. At the show 589 was placed third, 51)0 h.c, and r>37 unplaced.' Remarks: Pen 597, A. Campbell, very fine qualitv, short legs, well finished, full of meat, but somewhat largo for general' demand. 588, Highden, fine quality, well fin-shed, very meaty, rather large for lamb. 584, Thomson, very good quality, well . finished, very meaty,'rather large. 589, very fino quality, short legs, well covered, .full of meat, much too large for lainb. On the report, 630 was placed .second, 528 third, and 621 was unplaced. At the show .all these pens were unplaced. Remarks: Pen 61G, Thomson, good quality, short leg?, very meaty, fairly well covered, mostly'useful size, one rather large. 620, very ' fmo" quality, short legs, well covered, excellent tegs, too large ' [or Jambs; this breed at about.3Bll). would just about suit the trade. 528, very fair , quality* .nieatj, two rather plain legs. For the prize of two cases M'Dougall's" sheep dip for highest aggregate in Classes 112 and. 1U or net value of pen and report of London agents, J. Shortall and C. Millen tied .with 8 points each.
