BRITISH FOUR MILLION LOAN.
NATIONAL TELEPHONE PURCHASE. By Telczrapli—Press Asiociation—Oopyricht (Reo. July 18, 11.10 p.m.) ■ London, July 18. In connection with tho interim award in.' the arbitration between the Government and the National Telephone Company, regarding the purchase of the system .by tho State, the Exchequer has issued a £4,000,000 loan at 3 per cent, at 10s., redeemable in eighteen years. No specific sinking fund is provided. The banks have taken JE3,500,000, end the market the balance.
