LODGE MEETING.
The usual meeting of the Pacific Lodge, TJ.A.O.D., was held on Monday, night, liro. Clarke in the chair. Grand Secretory liro. Grant attended in his official capacity, and Bro. Cooper, D.P., notified that ho had tendered his resignation as District President, and also tendered his resignation as Lodge Trustee. Sick pay amounting to 15s. Id. was passed for payment. Three new members were impressively initiated in the presence of members and representatives from tho llollv, Coronation, Pride of Brooklyn, Excelsior, and Sheffield (Tasmania) .Lodges, ' Bro. Mnwhinney was elected secretary for the lodge ■in place of the, late Pro. Q. Z. Quarric. Grand Secretary Bro. Grant announced that, together with the auditors, a very thorough investigation had been made of tha books.and accounts of the lodge, and that they were found to be correct and 'quite in order. Bro. Mnwhinney, who is n Past Secretary of Iho Mangaroa Lodge, was initiated by P.D.B. Bro. Boock. Tho meeting was one of the largest that the lodge has seen for a long time.
