NEW ZEALAND CLUB.

The annual meeting of members of tho New .'Zealand Club was held at the Y.M.O.A. last evening, Mr. ]', C. Frccth (president) in the chair. There was an attendance of twelve member.?. The annual report disclosed a .satisfactory state of affairs, the progress and condition of the club offering the happiest augury, for its future prosperity. The events of the year were reviewed, and reference was made to ' the loss sustained by tho' departure- from New Zealand o£ Sir. H. N. Holmes, who was instrumental in establishing the club ns now constituted. Tho membership had now reached 151, «ml the cash in hand, according to the balancesheet, was .£27 17s. ,Id. It was decided to have the report printed, together with a list of past guests of tho club, officers, and members, the idea being Ihat members of the club might'create interest among their friends by circulating copies. Tho annual election of honorary officers resulted as follows:—Patron, his Kxcellejicv the Governor (Tx>rd Islington); president, Mr. C. M. Luke, M.L.C.; vicepresidents, Messrs. P. C. Freeth, A. 1?. At.kihson, and J. S. Pope; secretary, Mr. C. F. H. Pollock; treasurer, Mr. fl. H. AVebbe; auditor, Mr. G. A. Hurley; official reporter, Mr. E. Schwabe; commit-' tee, Messrs. W. Hobbs, C. K.
