(From Our Special Correspondent.) i __a The .Minister for Railways (the Jlon. W. 11. I lorries) will receive a deputation from the I'etonc Borough Con noil at 10.31 a.m. next Friday, regarding suggested alterations in the suburban railway service. At Petone .yesterday morning, before' Messrs. M'Ewan and 11. W. Short, J.TVs, Thomas Watson, for using improper language, in Jackson Street last Saturday night, was fined 10=., iu default 4S hours' imprisonment. At the Lower Hutt Court yesterday a first offender for insobriety was fined'.ls., in default 2t hours' imprisonment. Mr. A. Lees, ,1.1'., occupied the bench.
