Association have paid their, subscriptions for tho current year,' as compared with something less than the two hundred who usually paid before the annual meeting when it was held earlier in the year. It is expected that there will bo a very much larger, attendance than usual nt the annual meeting to-morrow.

, The annual Sunday School-examination in connection with the Wellington and lpcal unions was held in the Congregational and Presbyterian school rooms on Friday evening. The local evangelical churches were well' represented, great keenness being displayed by the 130' scholars who sat for the examination. Tho" superintendents and teachers of tho various schools' Superintended. The papers for. the local union were set bv Messrs. .1. E.'Vernon arid D. W. Low. . "The. results will-not be known for a few days. A Foxton syndicate connected with Messrs.'W. Eoss and Son, Ltd., has purchased the Green Flaxdressing Company's property at Moutoa. Thu property comprises some 700 odd acres, together with Hie llaxmilling plant. . The price paid is paid to bo £30 per aero, the purchase money totalling ',£22,000. , ;
