Tho home side scored 289 runs in the first innings, and have lost one for 29 in tho second. The Australians vrero dismissed for 152 —Mayno 47, Jennings 7, Macartney 17, . Bcrdsley 4, Minnettl, Kelleway 34, Gregory 0, Smith 3, Matthews 10, Whitty 3, Webster (not out) 20, sundries C. Rain necessitated the early drawing of tho stumps. (Rec. July 14, 5.5 p.m.) . London, July 13. There was a large attendance when play was resumed to-day in tho match , between Australia and Scotland. Theweather was dull, and the wicket soft. Scotland declared its second innings closed after compiling 126 runs for tho loss of seven wickets. . The bowling analysis was ns follows:— Matthews, seven wickets for 46 Tuns; Macartney, none for 33 runs; Whitty, no wickets for 12 thus; Kcllaway. no wickets for 25 runs. The Australians lost three wickets for 200'runs—Jennings, 28 runs; Mayne, 85 runs; Macartney, 8 runs; Bardsley (not out), 70; Minnett (not out), 0. Tho match was drawn. OTHEH MATCHES.
