Tlio Tibetans, who have been ntfceinpting lo drive, tho Chinese garrison oiiUf their country over since tlio proclamation of Hie Republic in March last, haw invaded China. Reports from the- far-western provinco of Szoclniaii stain that on Juno 15 :>■ Tibetan force captured tho town of Litans, which, is situated in tho mountains nt a point about a linnih'eil miles from (lie frontier of Tibet, and is some 000 miles distant from Lhasa. Tlio Li-tang garrison escaped after 70 of its members hail been killed. Tho town was looted, and women and children were burned alivo. Tho Chinese later succeeded in driving ofli tho invaders, and recaptured the town.
