■ ACCIDENT AT PATENT SLIP. A young man named Bert Riggs, a plumber, living in Adelaide lioad, was admitted to the hospital yesterday suffering from severe injuries to the head, .sustained through a fall from a plank in the Union Company's premises at the Patent Slip.
FALL OF A LOG. . A man named William Murphy, a bushman, was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon, suffering from a broken leg. It appears that a log fell upon him. Murpliy is a married man and resides at Akatarawa. i
| INQUEST; AT JOHNSONVILLB. . An inquest was held before Dr. M'Artlmr at Joluisonville vestorday regarding ,the sudden death-of Mr. Samuel Jnlaff, commercial traveller, who was found dead with a discharged gun alongside his body on Wednesday morning. Tho coroner's finding was to tho effect ■Ithat the cause of- death «wasi a 'wound,'and that therfeSvas no ovideuce to snow how it was inflicted.
