FEDERATION WAVED ASIDE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dunedin, July 10. Tho directors of the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company have replied to a- deputation of the Otago Coal- Miners' Union (Federation of Labour) upholding their previous decision not to : recogniso this body, as the other union was registered under the Arbitration Court. A meeting of men last week threatened "more drastic steps" if recognition of tho federation was refused. A further meeting of the men will bo held immediately to decide upon a course of action.
