MONTHLY MEETING,
' A monthly meeting of the Wellington Provincial Industrial Association was held la.st night, Mr. L. ]\. Partridge presiding over a. good attendance. Correspondence from Auckland was read relative to the proposed revival of Hie Industrial Corporation of Now Zealand. It appears that the corporation has been inactive for some time, but. the Wellington and Auckland Associations are anxious that it. should be ..brought to life again.—The secretary reported having written to the Christchurch. Association on the subject, of a conference to discuss the matter, and it was resolved to defer further action until a. reply was received from that association. Arbor Day was a subject under discushion, and the question arose as to what action tho association should take to cooperate in the tree-planting movement.— It was decided that tho president (Mr L. R. Partridge), the vice-presidents (Messrs. 1. G. Crease and S. S. Williams!, the secretary (Mr. H. P. Allen), and Mr. T. Ballmger 6liould represent the association at ; the meeting to bo held in tli'c Town Hall this evening. Messrs. L. R. Partridge; E, Kupli, and M. Martin were appointed a committee to visit a local industry during the month. The bank balance was reported as .C2G ss. -fid., and tho assets wore shown ( 0 exceed the liabilities bv .£1321 Is. Hd.
