A NEW COMPANY.
SPORTS GEOTJNDS FOR SEATOUN,
A company called tho Seatoun Bowling and Tennis Company, Ltd., with a capital of .SISOO, has been formed in Wellington and will lie registered at tho end of tho week. Tho objects of tho company nro to provido a bowling green, three asphalt courts, and a- pavilion for the use of its members. An acre and a quarter of land has beon purchased from Mr. Charles Crawford from that vacant block immediately on the Seatoun side of tho tunnel, round which the tramway track curves to reach the terminus. Tho aero on which tlio bowling green and tennis courts are to bo laid out is in tho contro of tho block, and the odd quarter of nil acre will constitute th© entrance to tlio grounds fiom Dundas Street. It is pointed out that sucli grounds aro very badly needed at Seatoun, as there are at present no bowling green or tennis courts nearer tho district than the city, and residents, who follow thoso games, are put to considerable oxpenso in travelling to and from Seatoun to gain that recreation. Mr. W. H. Green ia chairman of directors, , Mr. H. E. Richards secretary, and Mr. R. M. Watson solicitor for the company.
