THE NEW OPPOSITION.
LOOKING FOB A LEADER. DISAEB AT AND. INDECISION. Tho member' of the new Opposition have not yet decided upon a leader. During the formal sittings this week the Hon. T. Mackenzie will no doubt act as spokesman for the various factions wbich dp not acknowledge allegiance ...to tho Eeform party, but there aro circumstances which will prevent him from occupying that position for long. When the House resumes after tho adjournment, seine other member will occupy Mr. ilassoyV former position, but no ono.ventures to prophesy who that will be. Hnlf-a-ilozen members are mentioned in connection .'w it'll the appointment, amongst them • Mr. Bussefl, Sir Joseph Wartl, Mr. Wilford, Sif'Jas. Carroll, and Mr. Laurenso'n. Important considerations,- however, would'■'- militate against .tho selection of any one (f these members as leader, and it is rpon the whole as likely as not that no 'formal appointment will be made until the party in Opposition has recovered in some degree from its. present chaotic disarray.
