COMPLIMENTARY CONCERT.

A meeting was held at the Dresden Rooms last evening, for the purposo of making arrangements for the complimentary concert to bo tendered to Mr. Borneo Gardiner, which is to bo held in tho Town Hall on i Monday, July 29. The Rev. Father Bjctaon presided. In addressing the gathering, Fattier Hickson referred to tho services which Mr. Gardiner had rendered, in tho cause of charity and otherwise. After eomo discussion it was.decided that tho prices of admission bo popular ones end these werc fixed accordingly. Tho following Programme Committee was elected:—Rev. ' Father Hickson, Messrs. 'S. F. Carr, J. F. Woodward,' and 11. N. Fletcher, Mr. li. A. Keenan was appointed secretory and Mr. Bock treasurer. Messrs. T: M. Wilford. M.P., Dr. A. Izard.Z. Wood, E. ,T. Hill, and Blick promised to support. The following, who wero present at the meeting will act as a General Committee with power to ndd to their number:—Rev. Father Hickson, Mesdanies Clark, Reading, Illingworth; Misg Reading; Messrs. Gorliam, Brown, Manoy, levi. Rending, Woodward, Can , , Fletcher. Bock, Warren, M'Laughlin, Murdoch. Mosehini, Digby, Brooks, Illingworth. Most of tho leading mu'icinns in tho town have.promised to contribute items.
