Jealousy is supposed to Uβ the cause of the crime. Accused has been moody ever since, and refuses food. Ho is an ex-soldier of tfhe 21th Kegiment, and states that lie was at Omdurman, when Kitchener smashed the Khalifa. Hβ' served in South) Africa and in tho Transvaal. On tho application of the police he was remanded till Wednesday. ■
