It is now definitely stated that the Star of Canada lias been handed over to tho ; underwriters, and Captains Taylor and Hunkett, of Hie London Salvage Association, Trill make another determined attempt to get the vessel off. It is utuN.v stood that the proposal is now to utilise tho cement in the interior of the vessel, and make endeavour to pump her out. • Salvage operations continue. It \is understood those in charge intend erecting a bulkhead, at No. 2 hold abaft tho damaged portion of the hull; with the hopo of pumping the water out of No. £ and No. 3 holds. The grain cargo in No. 3 hold is beinK jettisoned, with tho object of lightening the fore part of the vessel.
