A{ a meeting of suppliers to the Featherston Co-operative »)airy Company, held at Feathcrston on Friday,-then l were about thirty present;"' It waV-decided to proceed immediately with additions to the factory buildings, and the installation of separators, also a complete butter-mak-ing plant for the purpose of making whey butter. The directors had attended- a meeting held.in Carterton during May Last, when Mr. Caddie delivered an address on the manufacture of whey butter, and since then the chairman, Mr. AY. G. Kodder, and the manager, Mr. .1. Adamson, had visited Taranaki factories which were making whey but tor. The resuHs of their investigations were submitted to the meeting on Friday, and in addition Mr. Gwillim, of the Government Dairy Division, brieliy addressed those present on the question, and gave some useful advico in regard to the alterations required to the pres?nt building's. There is every probability that the whole of the whey butter made will be taken by the suppliers to the factory. 'While the contemplated alterations are being made, it is intended to make provision in tha buildings for dealing with an increased supply next season, approximately 10.000 gallons daily.
