FEILDING NEWS.
The Borough Council has decided to take a poll of the- ratepayers on a proposal to raise a loan of JE3246 for tarring and sanding footpaths, formation, kerbing, and'channelling, and water-main extensions. At tho monthly meeting of the Feilding and Distriot Acclimatisation Society, Mr. L. Gorton was appointed delegate to the New Zealand Acclimatisation Societies' Association. Mr. G. Saywell was re-elect-ed chairman for the ensuing year. At Mr. Cobbe's business establishment a presentation of a travelling rug was made to Miss Eade, who i 8 severing her connection with the firm. She leaves in a few weeks for Chicago, whore Bhe is to be married. At Professor Mills's meeting this week one Socialist (Mr. Freeman) made tho statement that tho New Zealand Socialist party, how repudiated its connection with tho Federation of Labour and also with the "Maoriland 'Worker."
