MANX SOCIETY.

The third "social" of tho Manx Society, was held in tho Tiffin Tea Rooms last evening. About eighty were present, most of whom were cither "truo Maris" or "colonial Manx," and a very pleasant evening was passed. In the absence of Mr. Corkill, Mr. Griffin took tho chair. Tho Rov. J, Dumbcll, in a short speech, dwelt with enthusiasm on sotno of tho old Manx customs and traditions, as carried out from time immemorial in the Isle of Man. Musical items were contributed by Miss Parsons, Mrs. Rex, Miss Killey, and Messrs. Waterson, Parsons, and Quayle. Tho evening ended to the strains of tho Manx National Anthem—a strain which is more or less unknown in the islaudi of tho Southern Cross.
