CEYLON, At 'the meeting of tho council of tho Chamber of Commorco, held a month ago, a letter was received from tho Ceylon Chamber, complaining of the uso in Now Zealand of well-known estato nainos' as the names of teas packeted in New Zealand. A sub-committco was set up lo inquire into tho matter, and reported yesterday that tho practico complained of was not general in Now Zealand. It pointed out that the Chamber of ComniercH in Colombo could, by subscribing to the "New Zealand Trade Marks Gazette" havo always before ,thcm tho applications for trade murks in New Zealand. A letter to tha,t effect is being forwarded to tho Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
