THE DANDIES.
Mr. Edward Branscomhe's talented little, company, "Tho Dandies," who havo thoroughly established themselves in popular favour in their clever entertainments at tho Town Hall, appeared in a new bill in tho Concert Chamber last evening, when there was a. very large attendance of tho public. Miss Irene Vere, the piquant little poubrette of the party, sung "Hello! How Do?" "My Sweet Garden Queen," "Tho Curate And the Maiden," "Tho Slippery I/ittlo Slide." and "In Cherry BlusFom Time in Japan," in which she was supported by her gay companions. Mi>s Kvelyu Ward's sweet contralto voice was heard to advantage in "Three- Green Bonnet*," "The Sweetest Flnwor That Blows," and "Sunshine and Rain," but sho was hardly so well suited to the somewhat hackneyed "Tatters." Miss Hilda Lane, in her items "Poor Wnndcrinsr One," "Vanity Fair," "Carnival," and "Rosebuds," was quite enjoyable, and her association with Miss Evelyn Ward in tho duets. "Banks mid Braes" and "Tio=e tho Nightingale," was most happy. Mr. Claude Dumpier made a hit with his character caricature "The Yokel and (lie Water," and also with his newspaper skit and "Paper Bag Cookery." Mr. Georijo Morgan, the-.elegant dancer and licht comedion. of the troupe, revived his weird "Scarecrow" dnnro, and was verv successful with his "Hip, Trip. Hwrav!" and "Come Roller Skatiiie." Mr. finvin Wood, the biipso, sung "The Deathless Army." and "The Lutn Player," and Mr. Oliver Peacock, the lyric biiritone. contributed a "Gynsv T.<ivn Sour." "Thinkim; of Thee," "She's Far From the Land." and "Ma Cherie," each sinner lioinsr well received. Tho concerted numbers included "Ono of the Boys," and "Knlriiw Schmidt," (trio?), and "So Did Eve." "Baron do Touclimenot." Tho whole ncrformanco went with a delightful swine. The programme will bo repeated (his evening.
