When the Canadian Government, ,some time ago, invited a visit from a contingent of New Zealand cadets, it was understood locally that tho contingent would consist of twenty hoys. After tho cadets had l>een selected it transpired that a mistake had been made, and that tho Canadian Government desired the contingent to consist of only H members. A cablegram was dispatched to Canada by the .local Defence authorities, with a view to clearing up tho point. Yesterday tlio Hon. A. M. Myers (Minister for Defence) informed a reporter that a reply liad beeu received frOTi tho Canadian Government, and that it desired the Now Zealand radet contingent to consist of 11 mombcrs.
