CHARGES 'AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph,—Pre.E3 Association.! Auckland, July 1. Alleged bronchos of tho Gaming Act resulted in several men being charge! at the Police Court to-day, two with frequenting, loitering, or being in Queen Street for the purposes of uniting, and others, (lint being bookmakers, they did bet in Viili'an Lime. His Worship intimated that he would impose s:neh fines us were necessary when tiio whole of tho caw had bfcen heard. All tho defendants pleaded not. guilty.
