TRANSPORT STRIKE.

The Executive Committee of the London Corn Trade Association has passed a resolution approving of the Port of London Authority's attitude in connection with the transport strike, and urging the Government to tako immediate steps to prevent the frequent interruption of commerce. The, men's witnesses, including Mr. Orbell, of the Dockers' Union, in giving evidence before the Industrial Council, stated that no matter what form the arbitration took the right to strike must prevail. RAILWAY STRIKE POSTPOisTID. (R«c. June 27, 11.45 p.m.) London, June 27. There are novr 12,980 men working at the docks, on 154 ships. Mr; Asquith, on being questioned in Parliament, detUud that the Government had put pressnre on the employers to meet the strikers. Hβ did not think it was the Government's duty to do so. The West Ham railwaynien have postponed their sympathetic strike owing to the executive of the Railway Servants' Society discountenancing the proposal,
