4 (By Telegraph.—Pres3 Association.) Palmerston, Juno 24. Tho Governor addressed a Islrge audience at tho theatre to-night, at the a.nnunl patriotic meeting of tho Overseas Club. He referred to the importances of the Overseas Club. As a factor in tho Imperial unity tho club would help to turn the attention of the units of tho Empire to Impnrial problems as well as those immediately affecting themselves. The club could do an immense amount of g'ood in providing a background of opinion for the Imperial Conferences upon tho question of defenco, and in going into the question of a consultative council of representatives of the Empire. Lord Islington was heartily cheered at the conclusion.
