PALMERSTON DAY BY DAY.
(From Our Special Correspondent.! Palmerston, June 22. The annual meeting of the Palmerston Holiday Association was held last evening, Mr. A. E. Clausen presiding. Considerable discussion arose over an allegation that a number of business people were not loyal in observing the wishes of the association in respect to holidays, and it was suggested that the association should be allowed to lapse for a year. Eventually, however, it was derided to continue, and the following officers were elected Executive, Mes-r.s. A. E. Clausen (chairman), 11. Sinclair, J. Cunninghame, G. H. Bennett, L. Martin, J. li. Gcrrand, E. Hampton, A. Mellor, B. Pratt, N. Stubbs, N. Sinclair. E. Haydon, M. Millar, F. Garner. R. Edwards', W. Richardson. C. Page, F. .Tohansen. W. Jolly, W. l'egden. J. S. Munro. R. Tingey; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. Page. Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs. Clausen and Page for wrsrlc done in the interests of the association.
