CONFERENCE AT DUXEDIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, Juno 21. At a conference of the Church of land iron's Society in tlio diocese of Dunedin to-night the question of appointing a. permanent organising secretary lor ?>e\\ Zealand was discussed. A letter was read from tho Hcv. Gordon Kavillc, l.uglisn imueral secretary of tho Church ol bugCl Men's Society, stating that it was intended to offer certain districts a loan of ,£IOO a yealr for three years to help towards securing a permanent organising secretary, tlie loan to be repaid on terms agreed on. After discussion, the dosirabilitv of liaving a permanent organising secretary was iitlirmed, but the meeting was strongly opposed to tho loan, eo'.teiidi.iij that, the necessary money siiould lie i.useil in tlio Dominion.
