MORNING FIRES.
AT KELBTJRNE AND HATAITAI. Yesterday, two more eaily morning fires occurred in Wellington. Tho brigade wa3 called to Kelbumc at 4.10 a.m., and, at 7 a.m., before the Kolburno outbreak was finished with, a call to Hataitai was received. Tho Kelburno fire was at 18 Upland Terrace, a twelve-roomed house, which was unoccupied. This building, which belonged to Mrs. Jane Shute, was seriously damaged. It was insured in the London and Lancashire Office for ,£llOO. Tho cause of the fire is not known.
The Hataitai fire was at tho residence of Mr. Norman Gibbs, in Wnipapa Bead. Portion of this house was saved. The building was insured for .£I2OO in the British Dominion Office. On tho furniture there was an insurance of Jl'mO in tho British Dominion Office, and ,£SO in the Itoyal Office. Mr. Gibbs and family were not at home -at the lime of the fire; they have been..spending a fewweeks at Plimnierton.
