WOMEN AND THE NATION.
LETTER FROM THE ARCHBISHOP OF .-'. " CANTERBURY. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright. (Roc. Juno 20, 11.45 p.m.) London, June 20. The Archbishop of Canterbury (Dr. Davidson), in a letter read at two lr.rgo meetings held in the Queen's Hall to consider tho religious aspects of the women's movement, deprecated dwelling unduly on the' Parliamentary franchise. Women's place in the country's life calls for the far-reaching reconsideration of old formulae which were inapplicable to tho facts of to-day. Tho reaction has elements of greater, danger, and tho question should be considered in the light of Christian teaching.
