HOME RULE BILL.
SINGLE-CHAMBER REJECTED.
Br Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright (Rec. June 20, 11.45 p.m.) London, Jimo 20. The House of Commons, by 288 votes to 199, refused to establish Single-Chamber Government for Ireland. Tho Opposition supported the proposal on the ground that tho proposed Senate would be only a sham safeguard, and if only local government were conceded, a Second Chamber would not be required.
' London, Juno 19. Tho Liberal newspapers stato that Mr. Agar-Robartes's amendment to tho Homo Jtulo Bill, excluding tho counties of Antrim, Dowri, Armagh, and Londonderry from the operation of tho measure, was tho crux of tho whole Bill. Its defeat implies that tho critical point has been turned.
